“ART & ICE CREAM “ by Stephanie Low,Nicole Tan,Zi Ying & Peggy.

Creative multimedia is about a product of multiple media that invented from tons of creative and crazy ideas. To understand the true meaning of creative multimedia we should first break down Creative Multimedia this word into creative and multimedia. Creative and multimedia is about to use the existing technology to create something new and creative suing this existing technology or change some existing products or ideas into something different. Multimedia is simply multiple forms of media integrated together. Media can be text, graphics, audio, animation, video, or data. Video is the technology of electronically capturing, recording, processing, storing, transmitting, and reconstructing a sequence of still images representing scenes in motion.

Firstly, what is creativity? Creativity is the bringing into being of something which did not exist before, a product, a process or a thought. Creative simple means having the ability or power to create something new something creative. Secondly, creative also gives the meaning of design something to stimulate the human’s imagination. The concept of creative also includes invention, innovation and novelty. Creativity does not have to be about developing something new to the world, it is more to do with developing something new to ourselves. It is expected that increasing your creativity will help you, your organization become happier through improvements in your quality and quantity of output.

So, now come to talk about creative thinking. According to Infinite Innovations Ltd. Creative thinking is the process which we use when we come up with a new idea. It is the merging of ideas which have not been merged before. Brainstorming is one form of creative thinking: it works by merging someone else's ideas with your own to create a new one. You are using the ideas of others as a stimulus for your own. Without using special techniques creative thinking does still occur, but usually in the accidental way. Other changes happen slowly through pure use of intelligence and logical progression. Creativity is the Most Crucial Factor for Future Success- by Linda Naiman. Yes, everyone can be creative!

Music is an art form whose medium is sound. Common elements of music are pitch rhythm dynamics, and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture. Music has a lot of variety, for example classical music, 20^th century music, baroque music and the most common type pop song. A musical instrument is constructed or used for the purpose of making the sounds of music. In principle, anything that produces sound can serve as a musical instrument. The history of musical instruments dates back to the beginnings of human culture. The academic study of musical instruments is called organology.

Art can also be used to liven up things in this world. It may not have a specific idea or meaning but it can be used to make things look better and more complete. Art can also be used to show meaning. People can use art to show love, to show boredom and to show creativity. Art can be meaningful in the sense of creating something new. Art is also a great tool for learning.

As from our random word from art is ice cream. Why we think about ice cream instead of others? Yea, simply because ice cream give the feeling of happiness and the joyful as when we are doing art. Ice cream or ice-cream is a frozen dessert usually made from dairy products, such as milk and cream, and often combined with fruits or other ingredients and flavors. Most varieties contain sugar, although some are made with other sweeteners. In some cases, artificial flavorings and colorings are used in addition to (or in replacement of) the natural ingredients. This mixture is stirred slowly while cooling to prevent large ice crystals from forming; the result is a smoothly textured ice cream. The meaning of the term ice cream varies from one country to another. Terms like frozen custard, frozen yogurt, sorbet, gelato and others are used to distinguish different varieties and styles. In some countries, like the USA, the term ice cream applies only to a specific variety, and their governments regulate the commercial use of all these terms based on quantities of ingredients. In others, like Italy and Argentina, one word is used for all the variants. Alternatives made from soy milk, rice milk, and goat milk are available for those who are lactose intolerant or have an allergy to dairy protein, or in the case of soy and rice milk, for those who want to avoid animal products.

The first impression of ice cream is sweet and cold. Ice cream is very colorful, without colour, I believe that Art cannot be defining by any other words. After our group discussion we decided to do a digital 4-d final product as our final assignment for this subject. Stop motion, is the final idea of our product. According to Wikipedia online, stop motion is defined as(also known as stop action or frame-by-frame) an animation technique to make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own. The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence. Clay figures are often used in stop motion for their ease of repositioning. Motion animation using clay is called clay animation or clay-motion.With the using of stop motion, we created a very interactive and fun stop motion video. With the additional of audio, its gives our stop motion video more alive. We give the interaction between Art and our random word, ice cream. We mainly focus on colour for our stop motion video. Random word/ image association

From the lecture this week by Mr. Radzi Bedu, I have learned a new topic about Random Association. Random Association is a random word technique, the most basic and creative way to generate new ideas.

In this technique, random word are used to solve a problem. By forcing ourself to create a solution from a random word, we will be able to generate more ideas from different directions.

In conclusion, this technique is a good way to force us generate ideas.


Personal Reflection:

In my opinion, once again, Mr. Radzi Bedu had demonstrated brilliantly in introducing a new topic which is about Random Association. By giving an example of his journey from his home to FCM, we get the principle of this method easily.

The exercises for this topic are also suitable and I really learned a lot and understood on how the random word technique used.

In conclusion, this technique is good to be used by whoever that can't find idea in the moment by forcing themselves to find idea from a random word.

Random Association is an idea generation method which allows students to systematically generate new ideas through a fixed formula. The whole premise of Random Association is to use a Random Word to provoke a reaction from the brain.

How does it work?

The brain is an efficient self-organising system, and very good at making connections. Almost any random word will stimulate ideas on the subject. Follow the associations and functions of the stimulus word, as well as using aspects of the word as a metaphor.

Ice cream just like pain.

Ice cream will gives us instantly cold,

but in the other hand,

will gives us a sense of happiness.

A very heavy coffee need time to brewed

and a light coffee just need a few minutes to brewed.

Life just like coffee,the longer you brewed the thicker the happiness you got.

Love is just like chili.

You know it's spicy but still want to get a try.

You will either get hurt or happiness.

But when you addicted,

when you wish to run,

love still hold you on,

and get you crazy!

Love is just like a cotton candy.

First bite it will gives you the feeling of happiness,

full with surprise and sweetness.

But,when time passed,

cotton candy will become hard and unpleasant.

Just like love,

if you don't preserve LOVE with love and care,

it will end up like hard cotton candy

and end up you will throw it.

Life is like time.

Hour,Minutes and seconds are running as the time are running.

Just like life,

we dunno what will happen the next second.

So cherish every seconds as we live :)

Women are like diamond.

They are precious and elegant.

They will never be defeat by any difficulties to let them broken.

They are elegant and their price are priceless.

Women are like rose.

Not only red rose,but also rose that going to wilt.

Women are strong,

although they are going to die,

they still will stand still with their elegant and elitist.
